The House Flipping Lifestyle
Everyone desires flexibility in their schedule. If you are reading articles and blogs about house flipping and real estate investing, then there is a good chance you desire flexibility in your life. If you are like me, then the regular 9-5 job just won't cut it.
Like a lot of people I spent the early years of my life grinding it out, doing a lot of hard labor and relying heavily on that next paycheck. As I gained experience I was able to run my own flooring company and begin making more managerial decisions, and Ilearned a lot about running my own business.
I enjoyed running my own flooring company, however I still desired to have more flexibility and freedom in my day to day life. Freedom I knew I could find by flipping houses and becoming involved in real estate.
As my family grew, I wanted to be able to drop everything and hang out with my wife and my children. I also knew that I needed more money to feel financially secure - especially with college tuition knocking on the door.
Finally my desire became so strong that I decided to act upon it. Just as important I 100% believed that I could create a lifestyle for myself that would give me the freedom I so desperately wanted. When you mix an unyielding desire with belief, you have yourself a recipe for success in anything you choose to do.
Fortunately over the past three years I have been able to not just work towards this life of freedom, but to actually begin living it. Believe me when I tell you that the feeling is incredible!
It was not so long ago that I would stress a little at the end of the month when it was time to pay the bills. If you have a family then you know how expensive life can be.
Being able to generate an income that pays my bills and takes care of my family has helped to dramatically ease my mind and decrease my stress. To be quite honest, it's as if a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Just this past week my sister came in to visit myself and the family. I wanted to spend time with her, so I did. We ended up grabbing some fried clams and ice cream - the perfect Cape Cod night.
It's the little things like hanging out with my sister when I want to that made me fall in love with house flipping. I can't imagine doing anything else to earn a living, and I never again want to go back to a 9-5.
I want you to be able to experience the kind of freedom that I am so fortunate to enjoy. Don't get me wrong, acquiring flexibility and freedom takes a lot of hard work. Yet it's the light at the end of the tunnel that keeps me (and will keep you) going and giving it 100%.
